DepressionDepression is prevalent in my family. I do not suffer from it, but my husband and daughter do.
My husband has been on medication for almost 20 years now. And there are side effects of it.
My daughter has suffered from chronic pain for over 4 years now. She’s seen counselors, orthopedic doctors, physical therapists, chiropractors, natural doctors, you name it and at this point we have been to so many places. For the most part, it does keep coming back to: she’s a healthy, athletic young girl who suffers from depression and anxiety. This is what is causing her chronic pain. Not sure if I’m completely sold in this, but I do take it into consideration!
So……as I have done research for my husband on depression before. A little differently, because now we want to try some natural ways. Not against prescribed medication, but let’s try some other things first.
The following is a list of supplements that I have found.
St. John’s Wort
Patchouli Oil – for depression & inflammation
Chamomile – for anxiety
